The Vaibhav Armchair

Vaibhav (വൈഭവം / वैभव), meaning “grandeur, dignity, and legacy,” reflects a regal elegance perfect for both heritage lovers and contemporary aesthetes. The word carries familiarity in Malayalam and Sanskrit-rooted languages, while offering an exotic charm for international buyers. The name embodies the chair’s solid character, crafted legacy, and commanding presence—ideal for study corners, reception lounges, or verandas.

Description

The Vaibhav Armchair is inspired by the Anglo-Indian wooden craftsmanship of colonial-era Travancore mansions, updated with minimalistic modern proportions. Designed to be a throne of quiet contemplation or stately reception, this chair is hewn from matured rosewood or teak, burnished with layers of natural oils for a deep, shadowy patina.

Its tall back, framed with shaped vertical slats and a shield-like centerplate, pays homage to the palanquin shields once used in royal pageantry, while the gently curved arms provide both poise and relaxation. The legs retain the grounded geometry of old planter chairs, evoking the discipline and dignity of courtly halls.

From a Kerala courtyard to a British study to a Dubai loft, the Vaibhav Armchair stands as a fusion of past and present, grace and gravity.
